It could be driven on a standard platform with a comfortable suspension. Ford also tucked incredible creature comfort into the interior, making this the first personal luxury car. Many manufacturers are going to follow in the basics of this production. The vehicle was received with great enthusiasm, and the Thunderbird sold the Corvette at unbelievable margins.
