The FBI is currently investigating reports made by pilots of a person in a jetpack flying 3000 feet into the air, ten miles out of the landing. The pilots were flying into the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as this mystery unfolded. The surprised and indeed shocked pilots got in touch with the control tower and made a report. They were pretty sure about what they saw, considering that they were operating on visual visibility rules, plus it was not yet dark. Furthermore, pilots have received extensive training and have a fantastic sense of vision and perception.
Los Angeles is famous for its glam and glitz and is the most renowned city in the world. As a matter of fact, it is hailed as the entertainment capital of America and the city of stars. Imagine the surprise when two airline flight crews made a report of a man flying a jetpack 3000 feet in the air.
The tower wanted to know whether the audacious jet pack rider was on the aircraft’s right or left. The pilots responded that the jetpack passed off the left side of the plane. The flight crew certainly could not be seeing things as this was a second case to be reported about a jetpack flying high above LAX.
No one came forward to claim they were operating the jet-pack. While this might seem like a sheer fun operation, it might translate to a very serious case. The FBI is on with their investigations to try and unravel the mystery. However, it is possible that there was nobody on the jet-pack, and it might be a dummy attached to a drone. When the pilot first reported the jetpack rider, the official at the control tower had said it best as he quipped, “only in LA.”
